The embattled Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has copied his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, with the launching of his live band.
Rivers State Governor's Live Band consists of residents who are recruited to perform and entertain the Governor at any function that is attended by the Governor. They sing sensational songs to praise the governor, the government, and its dividends and heavily criticize opposition to the Governor's idea.
Governor Fubara who commissioned the live band when speaking at the flag-off program for the construction of 20,000 Housing Units in the Ikwere Local Government Area of the state, the newly commissioned Live Band sang an emotional song to send a stern warning to the former Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, telling him to maintain his lane, and do not cross path with their master, Fubara.
The live band was heard singing, “Dey your day make I dey my dey, nobody worry nobody, ” as the crowd present at the flag-off program went agog in the appraisal of the song.
Recall that the political crisis between Governor Fubara and his erstwhile political godfather, Nyesom Wike, has degenerated into a gale of resignations from the Governor Fubara-led Rivers State Executive Council with about 26 members of the State House of Assembly dumping the ruling party in the state, People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a show of solidarity for the former Governor of the state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
