Nyesom Wike, culled from Google A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former aide to ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has condemned the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wile over his continued condemnation of the presidential candidacy of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of PDP for the forthcoming February Election.
Reno Omokri, who was reacting to Wike on the righteousness of the presidential slot that is being held by Atiku Abubakar, insisted that Wike is enjoying the same basis on which he has been resolute in standing against Atiku's presidential ambition.
Recall that Governor Wike, who was a presidential aspirant of PDP in the party's last presidential primary, condemns Atiku Abubakar for contesting the ticket citing the instance that he is a Northerner, the section of the country where President Muhammadu Buhari who is just completing his two eight years in Office, hails from. Wike said it would be injustice and unfair to other Nigerians for a Fulani man, Atiku, to succeed another Fulani man, Muhammadu Buhari.
However, dislodging the ingenuity of Governor Wike's claim, Reno Omokri recalled that Wike is an Ikwere man, an ethnicity in the South-Southern part of Nigeria and he succeeded another Ikwere man, Rotimi Amaechi as the Governor of Rivers State.
Omokri insisted that even though there are more than 28 ethnicities in Rivers State, Wike boycotted fairness and equity among the ethnic groups in the state, and went ahead to contest the election, immediately, his kinsman has completed his eight years. He said Wike lacks merit to condemn Atiku Abubakar's presidential ambition while he has enjoyed the same zoning arrangement that produced Atiku.
Reno said "After 8 years of an Ikwere man, Rotimi Amaechi as Governor, he was IMMEDIATELY succeeded by another Ikwerre man named Nyesom Wike. There are at least 28 ethnicities in Rivers. Why didn’t Wike allow another ethnicity to produce the Governor? Wike, charity begins at home!
