What You May Need to Know About 2023 Police Recruitment Screening

The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) has announced the date for the automated screening processes for the intending candidates willing to join the 10th Regular Course of the National Security Agency.

According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), ASP Hussain Suleman, the security agency has decided to hold the automated screening processes between Monday, November 6th and Wednesday, November 30th, 2023. The exercise will be conducted daily within the date interval and the screening will start at 0800hrs daily at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

According to the statement, candidates who have successfully completed the online registration for admission into the 10th Regular Course of the Academy are invited for Automated Physical /Credential Screening, Computer-Based Test (CBT), Medical Screening, and Board Interview.

Candidates are encouraged to visit polac.edu.ng to print their slips and must make themselves available for screening on the specific date and time they are invited for the screening.

Other conditions set for the intending candidates are:

1. All applicants are to appear at the screening center in their clean white T-shirt and shorts, with the following mandatory basic screening requirements, neatly arranged in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached:

a. Evidence of physical/mental fitness from a government-recognized Medical Hospital.

b. Evidence of Good character from the Village/District Head of the applicant.

c. Certificate of Origin signed by Local Government Chairman or Secretary.

d. National Identity Number (NIN) - Slip Print-out

e. Original and duplicate copies of credentials – O’ Level Result(s), Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age, and JAMB result print-out.

f. Print out of the application form.

g. Duly completed Guarantor’s form.

h. Invitation slip.

2. Any candidate who fails to present the items (a - h) mentioned in Paragraph 3 above, will not be considered for screening.

The Commandant, AIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar PhD, mni, has assured transparency and accountability throughout the screening exercise. The Commandant, while reiterating that the Admission Exercise is absolutely free of charge, advised applicants to be wary of criminal elements who may want to take undue advantage of the exercise. He, however, warned that anyone found wanting will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

It was however strictly stated that only applicants who pass the CBT will be accommodated in POLAC to proceed to the next stage of the exercise which is the Medical Screening and subsequently, the Board Interview.
