Road Safety Officer, A AJOMOLE, was said to be on Patrol duty at Orile Iganmu Bridge, Lagos State when a truck driver lost control of his vehicle, killing the officer yesterday evening.
Ajomole was reported to be attending to an offender in a Cabstar when a Mack Truck carrying a Container allegedly lost control and hit the Cabstar the Road Safety Officer was attending to. The Cabstar was said to have pushed the Marshal to hit a stationary tanker parked by the roadside, smashing his head.
A side report states that Ajomale's wife had a baby two months ago.
The deed is done but we can always learn from it, is it ideal for a Road Safety Officer or any security agent to be standing at the front of vehicles during inspection?
Sighting Road Safety Officer or any security checkpoint ahead of the road, is it ideal for drivers to maintain their vehicles at high speed?
