Bola Ahmed Tinubu The Choice of the preferred National Chairman of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) by the President and Grand Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been revealed to the Round Table.
According to one of our reliable sources, the former Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al-makura is said to be the next National Chairman of APC in the coming days.
Embattled National Chairman of APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu was said to have tendered his resignation letter from the office of the party's National Chairman, late yesterday. It was said that Senator Adamu's resignation followed an alleged instruction from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step aside from the party position following agitation for his removal by some party members.
Recall that during the last National Convention of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was said to have nominated Tanko Al-makura as his endorsed National Chairmanship candidate to Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari before he made his choice of Senator Abdullahi Adamu to head the party.
Senator Adamu was accused of working, unjustly against the presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the APC presidential primaries. Likewise, he was accused of working against party interest during the presidential election, which seemed to have infuriated some members against his retention as the National Chairman of the party.
Tanko Al-makura was a former Governor of Nasarawa State both under People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress for Progressives Change (CPC). He was a former member of the National Assembly, representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District.
