President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is currently meeting with the embattled Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara at Aso Rock, Abuja.
Before the commencement of the meeting, a former Governor of Rivers State, Peter Odili was seen in the company of Governor Fubara while the Vice President of the country, Kashim Shettima, was also sighted at the venue of the close-door meeting.
The meeting is said to be unconnected to the presidential attempt to resolve the political crisis between Governor Fubara and the former Governor of State, Nyesom Wike.
Recall that many stakeholders in the state have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Wade into the crisis and resolve the political imbroglio that may likely lead to the impeachment of Governor Fubara.
The Round Table reported yesterday that the 27 lawmakers who are loyal to former Governor Nyesom Wike have acquired a court order to legitimately commence the impeachment process of Governor Fubara.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, although a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is seen as the only person who can protect Governor Fubara of the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) from impeachment because he has the respect and honor of Nyesom Wike who is, arguably, on the unbeatable match to get rid of Governor Fubara from the Rivers State Government House.
