Peter Obi was known for untruthful quotations, undefendable statistics, and general revelation of lies during the presidential election campaigns, this character seems to have been emulated by his political party, the Labour Party, and the character is on display in Imo State.
It is hilarious to ever think the name of Nnamdi Kanu would only be remembered by Mr. Peter Obi's Labour Party when it is the eve of the Imo State Governorship Election. If the good people of Imo State should fall for this, it implies they are not more than what Peter Obi and his political allies are calling them.
Throughout the presidential campaign of Mr. Peter Obi, he never talked about the ways to get Nnamdi Kanu out of detention his political mission was completely against the purpose for which Nnamdi Kanu got into custody. Mr. Peter Obi and his Labour Party are the direct opposite of Nnamdi Kanu and they are working against the aims of Nnamdi Kanu who was fighting for Biafra Nation, a secession of a new Republic apart from Nigeria.
Peter Obi's Labour Party sponsored a piece of viral fake news claiming that Sahara Reporters published content alleging how Governor Uzodinma of Imo State blocked President Tinubu's wish to release Nnamdi Kanu on Monday.
For any sagacious person, it is simply resolvable how President Bola Tinubu, a commissioned enemy of the Labour Party, suddenly becomes their bride, all in the name of the Saturday November 11th Governorship Election in Imo State.
Besides, how would the Igbo Traders Community visit President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa and none of the kitchen cabinet of the President was either present or aware? Was the meeting held in the spiritual Aso Villa or the one located in Abuja?
To the amazement of all, the Imo State chapter of the Labour Party, all in the name of playing politics claimed Sahara Reporters published an article claiming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu revealed to Igbo Traders Community who visited him on Monday "Uzodinma told me the dangers of releasing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu now that Governorship election of Imo state is at the corner. My intention was to order for his release few weeks ago when our brother, Igboho was released, but became surprised when the Governor of Imo State approached me to reverse my decision to do so. My reason to even attempt to release him is to enable the people of the South East geopolitical zone to have peace. The zone has witnessed major security challenges where armed security militia, ESN has killed several souls."
Amazingly, the link attached to the fake report never led to Sahara Reporters, the acclaimed source of the propaganda and there is no news related to this on the acclaimed platform.
A sage resident of Imo State would not hesitate to query the intelligence of the Labour Party and their propaganda machine whether President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would turn himself to the Court of Law or forcefully set Nnamdi Kanu free which the court has the capacity to do so.
Was President Bola Tinubu instrumental in the release of Sunday Igboho or was Sunday Igboho ever get arrested by the Nigerian Police?
Since Alex Otti of the same Labour Party was elected as Executive Governor of Abia State, what has he done to ensure the release of Nnamdi Kanu, and what benefits would Uzodinma derive from the detention or release of Nnamdi Kanu?
Above all, if Nnamdi Kanu is released today, will he encourage the decisions by Uzodinma, Peter Obi, and his Labour Party allies to take part in an election being conducted by the Government of Nigeria or he would rather call on them to ask for referendum?
These and many questions are enough to tell Mr. Peter Obi and the Labour Party to go back to the field and face reality ahead of Saturday's governorship election in Imo State.
