Twitter CEO, Elon Musk The Chief Executive Officer of the bluebird microblogging platform, Twitter, Elon Musk has rolled out plans to make the social media app a one-shop stop media platform.
Elon reveals that the social media platform will be welcoming new features which will centre at protecting the privacy of the users, anywhere across the world.
Elon stated that the new Twitter version will enable users to directly message any reply to a tweet to their followers.
Also, there is awareness that Twitter users will be able to send Emoji of any kinds in tye Direct Message (DM).
"With latest version of app, you can DM reply to any message in the thread (not just most recent) and use any emoji reaction, Elon stated.
Elon also stated that henceforth, chatting between Twitter users through the Direct Message (DM), will be strictly encrypted so that nobody will have access to their conversation. Elon stated that not even himself will have access to the user's DM.
"Release of encrypted DMs V1.0 should happen tomorrow. This will grow in sophistication rapidly. The acid test is that I could not see your DMs even if there was a gun to my head, Elon stated.
Elon promised that voice and video chats will be made a available to Twitter users soon, such that users may not need to exchange phone numbers before communicating with anyone, anywhere across the world.
"Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number, Elon added.
