Soun of Ogbomosho, His Royal Highness Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III, has vowed to ensure the Fulani herdsmen behind the killing of a farmer, Pastor Adegboyega, in Ogbomosho are sent to prison.
Soun og Ogbomosho was infuriated hearing the report of how the herdsmen murdered the private church pastor who was working on his farmland.
It was reported that Pastor Adegboyega got to his farmland along Ogbomosho to Iseyin road, and unfortunately met cattle grazing on his farmland.
He attempted to drive the cows away from his farmland when the three Fulani herdsmen attacked him and stabbed him to death.
The incident occurred on Monday, January 29th, 2024.
After the incident, people arrested three suspected herdsmen who they said were involved in the incident.
They immediately took the arrested Fulani herdsmen to the palace of the Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Ghandi Olaoye Orumogege III, where the monarch ordered the three suspects to be taken to the Owode Police Station in the town.
Speaking to the residents of Ogbomosho, the Soun of Ogbomosho insisted that those involved in the death of Pastor Adegboye would face the wrath of the law.
Oba Olaoye said he would work together with the law enforcement officers to ensure that justice is done so that the incident in Ogbomoso will end.
The three suspects are said to be in police custody in Ibadan as of the time of filing this report.
