Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Projects (SERAP) has announced its decision to sue the Federal Government of Nigeria under the presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for an alleged increment in the salaries of the government officials.

The government officials that are being alleged to enjoy the salaries increment include the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Vice President, 36 State Governors, Senate members, House of Representatives members and members of the States Houses of Assembly.

According to SERAP, the Federal Government of Nigeria has concluded plan to make an increment to tye salaries of the political office holders by at least 114%. SERAP frown on this decision, claiming that the political office holders cannot be living at large while about 133 million Nigerians in abject poverty.

The socio-economic rights group states that "We’re suing the Tinubu administration over its outrageous and illegal 114 per cent increase in the salaries of the President, vice president, state governors and lawmakers, while over 133 million Nigerians live in extreme poverty.

The allegation of 114% salaries increment to be effected on the political office holders is yet to receive reaction from the government, and no government official has either confirm or debunk the trending news.
