Scores Injured, Many Fear Dead As Fulani Herdsmen Set Benue Village On Fire
Herdsmen attacks
Many villagers have been reported dead with scores sustaining varying degrees of injuries following an attack from suspected Fulani herdsmen in Gbabir village, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

Our source revealed that scores of people are being taken to the hospital for treatment, and recuperation. The attack was allegedly influenced by the herders-farmers crisis that has predominantly wrecked major parts of Benue communities.

"Many dead bodies have been deposited in the morgue at Gboko," our source revealed.

Herders-Farmers conflict have been predominant in Benue State and many lives have been claimed by the incessant attacks on the farmers by the herdsmen.

The administration of the immediate former Governor of the state, Samuel Ortom, spent his eight years lamenting the incessant attacks, destruction of farmland, and killings of farmers by the herdsmen in Benue State. The same thing has been happening under the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia, and no commendable effort has been made by the state government to stop the inhumane occurrence.
