Rivers Political Crisis The mouthpiece of the presidency, Ajuri Ngelale, has disclosed that his principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had prepared himself for a "tough action" and had his second intervention to resolve the political crisis rocking Rivers State failed on Monday.
Recall that the Round Table reported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu settled the political rifts rocking Rivers State by rolling out 8-point resolutions after a late-night meeting with the political stakeholders in Rivers State.
Presidential spokesman, Ngelale disclosed that, regardless of what some of the opposition party members say, President Bola Tinubu acted as "father of the nation" by proffering lasting solutions to the political crisis rocking Rivers State.
Ngelale stated that President Tinubu had an alternative plan waiting to the immediately put into implementation to restore peace to Rivers had the warring Faction of PDP in Rivers State failed to embrace his resolution on Monday. He said “The motive of the President in this case is not a political one. He’s the father of the nation.
“He’s the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. It’s his primary responsibility to ensure that there’s peace, stability, and security in all parts of the country.
“If he sees that peace is breaking down in any part of the country, this is a President that will take action. But nobody should be mistaken, His Excellency, Mr President, was fully ready and equipped to take a very hard action if this resolution was not reached.
“So it is of great relief to the Rivers people and Nigerians at large that a resolution has been reached," Ngelale stated.
Ngelale's disclosure on the resolutions to restore peace to Rivers State could be unconnected to a recent report that Atiku's Faction of PDP Talk Tough About Tinubu's Resolutions to Settle Rivers Political Imbroglio
