Removing Me May Trigger Anarchy in Nigeria, President Tinubu Threatens Tribunal?

Removing Me May Trigger Anarchy in Nigeria, President Tinubu Threatens presidential election petition tribunal
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
The President and Grand Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been alleged to have issued threat message to the judiciary, regarding the ongoing case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Trending on Nigerian social media spaces, mostly on Twitter is a speculation that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has threatened that Nigeria may end in a state of anarchy if the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal attempts to void his victory at the February 25th Presidential elections.

A news with headline "Removing me as President over failure to score 25% in Abuja may trigger anarchy in Nigeria, Tinubu warns tribunal" has been trending on twitter for the past few hours, although the authenticity of the speculation is certainly weak.

The claim could be categorized to be another false fabrication, a mere speculation and another social media gibberish that arose from the post 2023 political contest in the country.

This is because there is none of the established media houses that has linked the alleged quote to President Bola Tinubu, recalling that if the President has really said that, it would have automatically occupied the topmost position on every established media house's news channel.

Besides, the Nigerian social media users who fabricate the speculation has never quoted any media house, and they have never mention the event where the President utter the statement. However, recall that President Bola Tinubu is not in the country as he has since yesterday flied to Kenya where Africans Heads of State are meeting on the platform of African Union (AU).

The only speech that is available to the media house, as par the contribution of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the African Union's meeting reports the President to have called for peace, unity, strength and rejects notion of new scramble for continent.

Likewise, President Bola Tinubu's led counsel at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Wole Olanipekun, in his submission at the tribunal could have been misquoted by the peddlers of the speculation having said that "...Any other interpretation different from this will lead to absurdity, chaos, anarchy and alteration of the very intention of the legislature..."

It is, therefore, proven that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not ever utter such statement and the trending information seems to have been politically motivated.
