In case you have come across some social media critics condemning the President and Grand Commander in Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing his biological son, Seyi Tinubu as Minister of Youths, the clarification about the claim is made available here.
President Bola Tinubu indeed made a last-minute amendment to the portfolio assigned to some of the ministerial designates, and as a result of such, the Ministry of Youth remains vacant as of last night.
However, the President promised to fill the space within the next few hours. But probably out of love, affection, and probably a result of the sense of responsibility some Nigerians might have seen in the son of the President, Seyi Tinubu, some of them have called on President Bola Tinubu to name his son as the next Minister of Youth in the country, which the President has not assented to.
To be precise, a Twitter user named Jerry Durojaiye started the call for President Tinubu to make his son, Seyi the Youths Minister and he was backed by many youths who responded to his tweet.
A few hours after the news of Portfolio reshuffling which left the Ministry of Youths vacant, Jerry twitted that "Dear President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT, Please kindly pick your son Seyi Tinubu as the next Minister for Youths. He is capable and intelligent. Heaven will not fall sir. Thanks.
Probably, the initiator of this saga said it out of love for President Tinubu's administration and commitment to make Nigeria work great; and purposely to tow the oppositions of Tinubu's administration into the Rivers of Tear.
To be clear, although no section of the Nigeria Constitution stops the President from appointing himself or members of his family into his Federal Executive Cabinet President Tinubu has not appointed his son, Seyi Tinubu as Minister of Youths, and is not even considering that according to our finding.
