Popular Nollywood Star Shot by Police

A popular Nigerian actor, film director, and filmmaker, Azeez Ololade Ijaduade, had been shot by Police, and currently battling with his life.

Ijaduade who is currently battling with his life, was shot by the Police at close range in Iperu, Ogun State. The incident occurred late at night on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023.

According to revelation by his colleague, Abiodun Adebanjo, who disclosed this on Instagram, stated that his colleague was shot by the Police and is currently receiving treatment at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Iperu in Ogun State.

Although Abiodun did not reveal what transpired between the police officer and Ijaduade, the motives with which he requested help to contact the Ogun State Police Commissioner or the Inspector General of Police suggested the police's action might have been extrajudicial.

Abiodun wrote on his Instagram page, “Please we need help in Iperu,” the story read. “My director, Azeez Ijaduade, @kingzeez1, was shot by a Nigeria Police personnel. He is presently at Babcock University Teaching Hospital. Anybody with the contacts of the Police IG or Commissioner should reach out.”
