Photo Credit: Twitter The Lagos State Command Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police, Benjamin Hundeyin has condemned citizens attitudes toward the officers of Nigeria Police Force, mostly, when they are involved in a dastard occurrence.
Hundeyin revealed this while reacting to the ways some citizens reacted to a report that some officers of Nigeria Police Force got involved in an accident, along the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. He regretted that a few number of people have identified with the reportage, over the time, claiming that had the news been against the police, it would have trended.
He said "35 mins and just 7 retweets. Flip this, let it be a police van involved in hit and run and watch the retweets increase exponentially.
Hundeyin claimed that residents usually ignore the good deeds of the police and give priority to false impressions against the Force. He said "same way the many daily good deeds of the police are shunned, giving the false impression it’s all about negativity and mediocrity.
Hundeyin was reacting to a news that a van belonging to the Police was involved in a hit and run motor collision with a civilian on the Third Mainland bridge.
The Lagos State Transportation Management Agency (LASTMA) had early reported that some police officers were involved in a road accident, which was caused by a hit and run driver.
