The Nigeria Police Force Command of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has arrested six notorious armed robbers in an uncompleted building that had been marked by the Police as a black spot in Utako village.
A statement released by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josphine Adeh, revealed that the suspects were arrested today, Friday, February 9th, 2024 during a sting operation.
SP Josphine listed the arrested criminals to include Basara Hassan ‘m’ 41, Daniel Charles ‘m’ 27, Adamu M Oshiaka ‘m’ 32, Chancy Asidi ‘m’ 38, and Saliu Al Hassan ‘m’ 24.
All the arrested suspects were said to hail from neighboring states bordering FCT. Also, a locally made pistol, two (2) live cartridges, and wraps of substances suspected to be marijuana were recovered from the suspects.
Parts of the statement read, “Further investigation about the recovered ammunition, led to the arrest of one Yusuf Iliyasu a.k.a Tablet, who is an ex-convict and the syndicate leader.
“While the investigation is ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh psc, mni, wishes to assure residents of his unwavering commitment to make Abuja a hell for criminals and to ensure the safety of all.
