Ondo State Acting Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has rushed back to Akure, the state capital, to be sworn in as the Executive Governor of the State.

Chief Judge, Justice Olusegun Odusola is ready to take the oath of office for the incoming Governor who is currently the Acting Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Aiyedatiwa was early in his hometown of Igbokoda to celebrate Christmas. He rushed to the capital city of the state, Akure, following the news that his boss, Rotimi Akeredolu, had died of leukemia disease that he had been battling.

News update from the state says Aiyedatiwa has been sworn-in as the Executive Governor of the State following the death of the former Governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu
