Ademola Adeleke The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has abandoned its senior Executive Governors in the Southern party of Nigeria, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Nyesom Wile of the Rivers State, who are members of the G5 Governors to pick Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke for its major appointment after the 2023 election.
The party appointed Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Chairman of the Committee that will conduct the Governorship primary of the party in Bayelsa State. Hon Kenneth Okon was also appointed as the Chairman of the Imo State PDP Committee for the screening and conduct of the party's governorship primary in the state.
The Imo State and Bayelsa State governorship primaries have been scheduled to hold on Wednesday March, 12, 2023 at Owerri and Yenagoa, respectively.
The decision of the PDP to snub Governor Makinde of Oyo, Wike of Rivers, Ikpeazu of Abia and Ugwuanyi of Enugu State could not be unconnected to the role they played during the 2023 general election.
Recall that the mentioned governors are members of the G5 governor who demanded equity, fairness and justice from the party during the la general election.
