Pastor Enoch Adeboye A trending video clip of the General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, praying for the members of the church to become dominant over members of all other churches across the world has generated critical reactions, mostly, from the Christian communities in Nigeria.
Pastor Adeboye in the trending video clip prayed to the members of his church referencing how the sons of the Prophet bowed before Elisha after he was endowed with the double portion of Elijah's power.
Adeboye then prayed that as the prophet’s sons bowed to Elisha, Christians from other denominations would bow before them. The entire congregation roared with an amen response in the latest trending video clip.
Pastor Adeboye in the trending video clip prayed, “I decree by the name greater than every other name, Christians from all other denominations will bow before you.”
The echoes of amen heard in the video clip were just too thunderous as the prayer was claimed by the congregation.
Although the timing of the event was still unclear as some members of the church claimed there was nothing of such in the recent time, however, the clip is suggested to be recorded during the 2021 Youth Convention of the Church.
The video clip has attracted criticism from Christian communities from other church denominations as they claimed it is time for Pastor Adeboye to retire and leave the altar for God.
No authority from the RCCG has denied the video clip and its contents as more Christian communities joined in the condemnation of the prayer point of Pastor Adeboye in the clip.
