Osun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has stated that the state government has finalized plans to boost the economic prospects of the State within the next few years.
He stated this while featuring on a weekday radio interview program of a local radio station in Osogbo, the capital city of Osun State.
Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, while establishing his claim, stated that among the moves by the Osun State government to boost the economic prospect of the state is a decision to partner with an investor that will build a jointly owned five-star hotel in the state. He emphasized that the investor and the state government will contribute the resources to build and operate the five-star hotel which will be the first of its kind in the state.
The Commissioner also claimed that Nigerian Machine Tool located in the state capital is up, and running and producing Tractors and other agricultural machines even though none of the said products could be identified.
He assured the people of Osun State that, unlike the previous administrations that failed the state, the administration of the incumbent Governor of the state, Ademola Adeleke, is ready to fully industrialize the state and move it permanently from a "civil servants state" to a producing state.
While commending the government, Rev. Jenyo stated Governor Ademola Adeleke has deployed his "international experience" to foster the economic proficiency of Osun by ensuring a "product per local government initiative" during the state's Trade Fair. He talked about the readiness of some investors to establish Rice Mill at the Erin-Ijesha axis of the state.
He repeatedly claimed that soon, Osun State would overtake Lagos and Ogun State in Industrialization as he insisted more investors were exiting Lagos because of the High Exchange Rate which he [amazingly] cited as an advantage for Osun State to attract them.
