Nigerian Troop Kill Insurgents, Rescue Nine Month Old Kidnap Victims, 10 Others The Nigerian military has neutralized the activities of some insurgents terrorizing Kaduna State and its axis following receiving a piece of intelligent information.
The troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army, on Tuesday, February 7th, 2024 came across some insurgents on patrol.
The insurgents met their Waterloo as the military opened fire on them, killing 4 insurgents with the recovery of sophisticated weapons from the criminals.
Weapons recovered from the insurgents include 3 AK 47 riffles, 7 AK 47 riffle magazines, and 2 motorcycles.
In a similar operation, another troop of the same 1 Division of the Nigerian Army deployed to restore normalcy to the Birni Gwari area of Kaduna State, on receiving an intelligent report of insurgent activity, hastily moved to Kwaga village of the suburb to disarm insurgents who have successfully kidnapped eleven villagers.
The insurgents took all their victims from Masuku village in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
These insurgents took to their heels after feeling the heat of the military's combatants, leaving them with no option but to abandon their victims.
The insurgents reportedly escaped into the forest with wounds in disarray. However, the Nigerian army was able to rescue eleven victims, including a nine-month-old baby from the kidnappers while one motorcycle was recovered.
The rescued victims of the kidnappers were given medical treatment by the medical team of the division before they were reunited with their families.
The names of the rescued victims, according to Lt. Col. Musa Yahaya, the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, were given to include Zakari Galadima 54 years (male), Ishaku Galadima 50 years (male), Habibu Illaysu 40 years (male), Nuzuli Ibrahim 18 years (male), Ramatu Aliyu 60 years (female), Ubaida Mubarak 30 years (female), Zaliha Mubarak 9 months (female), Umma Haruna 22 years (female), Khairatu Salisu 34 years (female), Rahamatu Usman 43 years (female), and Rakiyia Yahaya 24 years (female).
