Tweet A Nigerian university graduate was full of amazement following what he saw in his master's class in Canada. The young man was said to have expressed his surprise to his father as he shared the same class with his Nigerian lecturer.
A revelation by the person to whom the young man's father disclosed the story, the young Nigerian graduate was confused when he saw his Nigerian PhD Holder in his master class in Canada taking the same course.
Surprisingly, the Nigerian PhD Holder approached his former student and informed him to stop using the respectful word "sir" for him in Canada again, whenever they meet in the class.
The young man's father was quoted to have said, “Hi, My son was surprised to find his young lecturer who already had a PhD in Nigeria in his MSc class in Canada. He was instructed to stop the ‘sir’ he was used to in Nigeria.”
