National Assembly The 10th National Assembly including both House Representatives and the Senate have completed the appointments and announcement of the leadership of the two legislative chambers.
Each of the two legislative chambers has 10 leadership positions which were shared among four political parties, All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), and the Labour Party. Below is a list of how the positions were allocated and shared among the members of the two legislative chambers.
Senate principal officers
1. Senate President- Senator Godswill Akpabio
2. Deputy Senate President - Sen Barau Jibrin
3. Majority Leader - Sen Opeyemi Bamidele
4. Deputy Majority Leader - Sen Dave Umehi
5. Chief Whip- Sen Ali Ndume
