Names and Parties in Control of the 26 States with Governor-elects
2023 Governors-elect
On March 18th, 2023, residents across the Federal Republic of Nigeria trooped out enmeshed to cast their votes for their children news set of political leaders across the states.

Out of the 36 States in Nigeria, governorship elections took place in 28 states. Unfortunately, governorship results in twenty-six (26) of the 28 states where elections were conducted have been announced, with results of the fiber polls held in Kebbi and Adamawa yet to be announced.

In the 26 states with successful completion of their guber polls, the All Progressives Congress (APC) won fifteen (15), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won nine (9), the Labour Party (LP) won one (1) and the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) won one (1).

The names of the Governors-elect and their political parties across the 26 states are listed below:

2 Borno - Prof Babagana Zulum (APC)

3 Cross River - Prince Bassey Otu (APC)

4 Ebonyi - Mr. Francis Nwifuru (APC)

5 Gombe - Inuwa Yahaya (APC)

6 Jigawa - Umaru Namadi (APC)

7 Kaduna - Senator Uba Sani (APC)

8 Katsina - Dikko Radda (APC)

9 Kwara - Abdulrasaq Abdulrahmon (APC)

10 Lagos - Babajide Sanwoolu (APC)

11 Nasarawa - Abdullahi Sule (APC)

12 Niger - Umar Mohammed Bago (APC)

13 Ogun - Dapo Abiodun (APC)

14 Sokoto - Ahmed Aliyu (APC)

15 Yobe - Mai Mala Buni (APC)
