Shubomi, a younger sister of the Marlian Label Chief Executive Officer, Azeez Fashola, who is popularly known as Naira Marly has called for an immediate release of her brother following the failure of the Police Force to charge him in court or formally accuse him of any wrongdoing connecting to the demise of one of his former signees, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, who was popularly known as Mohbad.
Shubomi took the request for the unconditional release of her brother to social media today, unveiling her mind in a post submitted on the Instastory. She trolled the Police Force for detaining her brother, Naira Marley after he willingly returned to the country and submitted himself to the Nigeria Police Force without him being declared wanted.
She stated that the Police had illegally detained her brother for close to a month without evidence or charge to the court for a proper hearing of whatever allegation they may have against him.
Shubomi challenged the Police Force to stop using detention of her brother to satisfy the online community who were only accusing Naira of having hands in Mohbad’s death without evidence to substantiate it. She insisted the police were abusing Naira Marley’s fundamental rights with the illegal detention of her brother.
“Keeping someone who willingly traveled back to help in detention for nearly 30 days, with no charge, no evidence, no sufficient witness is a violation of his human rights. Keeping him [in] custody to appease social media and the internet mob is crazy. I Pray nobody experiences being accused of an atrocity you have no hand in. God is in control. We all want truth, justice, What’s the delay,” Shubomi wrote on her Instastory timeline.
