30,000 50kg bags of rice shared by 30,000 people in Kano A man from Kano State has distributed 30,000 units of 50kg bags of rice to 30,000 people in Kano State.
The man who begged the people who anchored the distribution never to reveal his identity insisted that each of the 30,000 people must be given a 50kg bag of rice.
The Samaritan said the food palliative would ease the impact of the economic hardship hitting the country as he also believed the distributed food items would go a long way in helping the beneficiaries during the month of Ramadan.
Prayers have been said by many people who directly benefited from the program while others wish the donor well in his daily endeavor.
Although amidst the prayer sessions, some Nigerians speculated that the donor is the Executive Governor of the State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, while many others suggested the bags of rice were sponsored by a House of Representatives member representing Bichi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar.
However, a separate group of people suggested that the donor could not have been a politician because "politicians would not only have been present at the venue of the distribution, they would have ordered the bags to be redesigned to smaller sizes to cut corners.
Another source, revealing to The Round Table, commended the anonymous donor but argued that the number of the bags of rice was inflated although it also testified that 50kg bags of rice were shared per person in the state.
