Also, the rate of manifestation of the prophesies of majority of the pastors are considered to regard respect for them. To be concise, there may be varying factors that people consider to rate pastors across Africa and this can make it, somehow difficult to come up with the list of the most popular pastors in Africa.

However, we can still toy around with a list of some of the most popular pastors in Africa:

Enoch Adejare Adeboye (born 2 March 1942) is a Nigerian pastor and General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Adejare Adeboye joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and served as an interpreter before he was ordained a pastor in the church by Pa. Josiah Akindayomi in 1975. He became General Overseer of the church in 1981. For three years, he filled the role part-time at University of Ilorin (Unilorin) before giving up his university position to preach full-time.

The church which was not well known before Adeboye became the General Overseer, has branches in about 198 nations, including more than 14,000,000 worshipers in Nigeria alone. Adeboye has stated that he aims to put a church within five minutes walking distance in developing cities and five minutes driving distance in developed cities

Dr. Shepherd Huxley Bushiri (born 20 February 1983), known as Major 1 or Prophet Bushiri, is a Christian preacher and businessman from Malawi. His credentials are highly controversial as he has been alleged of fraud, rape, Ponzi, tax evasion and some other sorts of criminal offences.

He founded and leads a Christian non-denominational evangelical church known as the Enlightened Christian Gathering. The church has headquarters in Pretoria, South Africa with branches in other African countries and around the world. He describes the church as a Prophetic Ministry based on the principle that God cares and loves people and wants to speak directly to them.

Bushiri also runs an investment company, Shepherd Bushiri Investments (Pty) Ltd, a global investment company based in Sandton near Johannesburg, with interests in mining, real estate, an airline and other entrepreneurial pursuits. According to Bushiri, he ventured into business to support his family as he does not believe the church must support his family.

Bushiri is simply known as a Malawian preacher who is on the run from South African authorities who charged him with rape allegations, fraud and money laundering. Bushiri speaks Spanish, English, German, French, Hebrew, Greek.

Bushiri's church services attract over 100,000 viewers via his personally-owned television station, social media and in-person attendees. His largest gatherings are held on New Year's Eve at FNB Stadium, South Africa, with over 95,000 attendees. The FNB Stadium is the largest stadium in Africa.

David Olaniyi Oyedepo (born 27 September 1954) is a Nigerian preacher, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. The church is also known as Winners' Chapel International.

The Winners' Chapel International network of churches is located in over 300 cities, in all states of Nigeria and several cities across forty-five African nations, in Dubai, the United Kingdom and Europe, in Asia, and in the United States and Canada.

According to Forbes, Oyedepo is the wealthiest preacher in the world with a net worth of over US$150 million. The church owns four private jets and several buildings, including in London and the US.

Oyedepo's church's acquired an initial 530-acre (2.1 km2) facility, known as Canaanland, which serves as the headquarters. It is the home of the 50,000-seat capacity auditorium, the 'Faith Tabernacle'.

The ministry is currently building a 100,000 seater auditorium called the "Ark", which is reputed to be the building with the largest span in the world.

Christian Oyakhilome (born 7 December 1963) known as Pastor Chris is a Christian faith leader, preacher, author, philanthropist, televangelist and president of Loveworld Incorporated.

He is known globally as the founding pastor of the Mega Church Christ Embassy and author of the most translated and distributed daily devotional in the world, Rhapsody of Realities.

He is also known for organizing large crusades, and pulling crowds of over 3.5 million in a single night. His healing school which holds periodically every year in Nigeria and South-Africa attracts thousands of sick people who come to receive divine healing from God from over 70 countries at some instances.

Oyakhilome has also been a target of criticism by the Treatment Action Campaign for his support of faith healing as a supposed cure for HIV/AIDS, and his devotional Rhapsody of Realities has claimed tumors will disappear if rebuked.

Oyakhilome has been accused of preaching the prosperity gospel and using his followers for money, stating that those who donate to his ministry will be rewarded with wealth, health .

Oyakhilome also supports YouTube-propagated conspiracy theories about a "New World Order".

In March 2021, his television network Loveworld was fined £125,000 by British regulators Ofcom after it breached broadcasting rules by airing “inaccurate and potentially harmful claims about coronavirus

He is the Prelate and Metropolitan Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock church headquartered in Lagos (Nigeria) with branches in several cities across Nigeria including Port-harcourt and Abuja, as well as in Johannesburg, South Africa and London, UK. He is also the Convener/Host of The Experience (gospel concert)

After working as an assistant pastor in the Armor of God Church in Lagos from 1998, he started Omega Fire Ministries in 2004.

The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) is an evangelical, Charismatic Christian church headquartered at Abossey Okai in Accra, Ghana. It is considered to be one of the fastest growing Charismatic churches in Ghana, having a church attendance close to 50,000. The headquarters is Christ Temple and is located in Abossey Okai, Accra Ghana. It now has a new ultramodern church complex called ICGC Christ Temple East at Teshie on the Rasta Road.

The church has made significant socially responsible contribution to Ghana. The Central University College, a privately owned co-ed tertiary educational institution, is owned by the church. It is currently the biggest private university in Ghana.

In 1988, the church started a scholarship scheme called Central Aid to finance the education of selected needy students in pre-tertiary educational institutions. Central Aid is one of the largest non-governmental educational scholarship schemes in Ghana. Every year through an annual charity event called 'Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh' the church donates to the Children's Cancer Unit at Korle Bu and since 2011, over 1500 children have benefitted from the annual donations made by the ICGC.
