Babajide Sanwoolu Some indigene of the State of Excellence, Lagos, have commenced to roll out action plans that must be implemented by both the Executive and Legislative Arms of Government in Lagos State.
The concerned individuals have listed policies and strategies that the Lagos State government must ensure that every resident of the state adheres to, to prevent non-indigenes from attempting to stage a political coup on the state.
Recall that the Igbo people had attempted to overtake the control of Lagos State during the yet-to-be-concluded governorship election with the presentation of an Igbo-speaking man, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, who cannot construct two penalties Yoruba as the governorship candidate for the Labour Party with the Igbos in Lagos giving their unalloyed support to him. Bear in mind that Igbo people have always been hostile to Lagos with a claim that Lagos is a "No man's land".
To forestall this, a Public policy consultant, Rotimi Adeosun congratulated Lagosians for putting an end to the issue of real ownership of Lagos. He thinks that going forward, the Lagos State Government should review the following:
- Land Ownership & Rent Law
- Elective & Appointive Policy
- Ethnic concentration of markets
- Limits to liberalization culture
- Teaching Yoruba history
- and that the state should be wary of usurpers!
Kazeem Ola suggested that the Lagos State House of Assembly should fully mandate the Yoruba Language as an official language of the House of Assembly.
Ogbeni Babalola stated that beyond the aforementioned, Governor Sanwoolu needs to be wary of those celebrities before he starts courting them again.
"We know those of them who have made a fortune in Lagos but are so keen to burn it down. He needs to make a statement by keeping them at arm's length. Lagos needs to know its friends," Ogbeni Babalola hinted.
Supporting Ogbeni Babalola's opinion, Ayoola Oludide suggested that both Governor Sanwoolu and the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service may need to expand their tax net, auditing the revenue streams of the celebrities from YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social platforms.
