Ehizogie Ogbebor, MC Oluomo's ex-Girlfriend Lagos State Government has filed an alleged of tax evasion charge against an MC Oluomo's ex-girlfriend, Ehizogie Ogbebor.
The state alleges that Ogbebor has refused to pay personal income tax since 2014. The state government claimed that she is an influencer on social media and has failed to pay her tax to the government Treasury which amounts to tax evasion and punishable by the extant law of the state.
The case between Lagos State government and Ehizogie Ogbebor was heard on Monday at the Lagos State High Court at Tafawa Balewa Square.
When the case came up the government said the defendant’s alleged act contravened sections 41 and 94 (1) of the Personal Income Tax Act, 2004 and sections 56(a) (b) of the Lagos State Revenue Administration Law, 2006.
However, Lagos State counsel begged the course for substituted charges against Ogbebor. The prayer was granted and the case was adjourned to October 26, 2023.
