The Third Force political party in Nigeria, the Labour Party, has set the price of its forms for nomination and expression of interest to contest in the 2024 bye-elections across the affected states and federal constituencies in Nigeria.

Recall that the electoral umpire in the country, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has picked February 3, 2024, for the conduct of bye-election across all the state and federal constituencies affected either by the death of the winner in the previous election, court order or resignation of the winner in the previous election.

Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the National Secretary of the Labour Party, stated that the purchase of Nomination, Expression of Interest, and Delegate Forms will take place between December 28th, 2023, and January 4th, 2024.

He also revealed that the party has set the deadline for the submission of completed forms for January 4th, 2024, while the Primary Elections are scheduled for January 7th, 2024.

Speaking about the cost of obtaining the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, Alhaji Faruk said, "The party has outlined the fees for the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for various positions: Senate – N1.5m and N3.5m, respectively; House of Representatives – N1m and N2m; and House of Assembly – N1m and N500k.

Female aspirants and Persons Living with Disabilities (PWD) seeking Expression of Interest Forms will be exempt from payment.

This is better and more affordable for many aspirants than in other political parties including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) which The Round Table reported to have pegged its Nomination Form for the Senate at N20 Million, and State House at N10 Million
