Kwara State government has extended its palliative measures to the federal security agencies in the state.
This was unveiled in a statement released by the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday.
The Command stated that it has received 3,700 bags 9f palliative rice from the state government.
Speaking during the receipt of the palliatives on Wednesday, 21st February 2024, Commandant Umar emphasized "The importance of the gesture in assisting NSCDC officers amidst the prevailing economic challenges. He expressed gratitude to the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for extending the distribution of the food items to NSCDC.
Commandant Umar disclosed that this initiative will boost the morale of officers and men of the corps, enabling them to execute their duties effectively and efficiently.
He reiterated the corps’ unwavering commitment to addressing emerging security challenges in the state, reaffirming its dedication to protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.
Kwara State government has been distributing palliatives rice, since the federal government of Nigeria removed subsidies on oil, as a measure to cushion the effects of the economic hardships allegedly brought on the country by the administration of the President.
