The Jigawa state chapter chairman of the All Farmers Associations of Nigeria, AFAN, Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga has felicitated with Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi FCA as he clocks 61.
In a press release issued to our correspondent, Jabiru Hassan, in Dutse, Mai Unguwa Jaga disclosed that Governor Umar Namadi has proven that Jigawa state would continue to witness rapid development in every sector without bias.
"We are happy to announce that His Excellency Governor Umar Namadi is working selflessly to ensure that our state benefits more from the dividends of democracy at both rural and urban settlements like what is being witnessed today, and we are certain that Jigawa would become an exemplary domain shortly," the statement added.
Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga on behalf of the state AFAN executive officers, the local and wards leaders, and the entire members of the association congratulates Governor Umar Namadi on his 61st anniversary and wishes him more progressive years in advance.
Similarly, the AFAN Chairman commended the governor for suggesting a most formidable committee that would work towards the total control of flooding that usually affects Jigawa state during the rainy season, the decision that was described as a welcoming development to the farmers and residents in the state who are often being threatened by the annual flooding.
"We are very much happy to witness that His Excellency Governor Umar Namadi has planned to constitute a high-powered committee that would continue to work for the control and reduction of flooding in our state to ensure the safety of our environments and farmland whenever it rains, AFAN is always ready to contribute towards the successful implementation of the floods controls across Jigawa state," he promised.
