Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Olajide Adeniran who os popularly known as Jandor has given the reason he is not considering any form of alliance with the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

Jandor recalled that Gbadebo contested the PDP governorship ticket with him in Lagos and lost. After this, one of the leaders of the party in Lagos State, Mr. Bode George appealed to him to pick Gbadebo as his running mate because Gbadebo's father is Bode's friend.

Jandor stated that he refused the request because it seemed to him, another emergence of godfatherism politics that led him out of his former party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

He said Bode George angrily took Gbadebo to Labour Party because he refused to pick him as his running mate. Jandor, therefore ruled out any form of alliance between the two parties, saying such an alliance may lead Lagos State into the hand of Bode George as the new political godfather in the state.

A cross revelation by a source close to the PDP governorship candidate, Olajide Adeniran stated that "Gbadebo contested the PDP Governorship primaries with Jandor. He lost.
Bode George asked Jandor to pick him as a running mate because he is the son of his friend, but Jandor refused.

"Jandor left APC because of a godfather and could not be saddled with another godfather in PDP. Bode George then asked Gbadebo to move to Labour Party.

However the governorship candidate of Labour Party, Gbadebo has reacted to the development, saying the statement amounts to the last kick of a dying horse.

He said "I have read the fabricated lies from the Jandor camp and I will like to assure our supporters that we are not only leading the race we are winning. Consider his many scripts and tantrums the last kick of a dying horse.
