Jaiye Kuti Yoruba actor, Jaiye Kuti has slammed her colleagues for begging fans for financial assistance online. She claims their actions are painting the industry in bad color.

10 minutes 46 seconds video suggested that the actors begging fans for money because of old age must have lavishly spent their earnings from the industry when they were young. She claimed that the industry is lucrative and has changed her living standard for the better.
She lamented some actors not preparing for old age when they were young in the movie industry. She, therefore pleaded with the Yoruba actor to stop what she regarded as their shameful act online.
She said, “All the Yoruba actors coming on Instagram to beg should stop giving us bad names. This job doesn’t have a pension so when you are young and active, you need to prepare for the future.
"This job is a success for me because I earn big and I am already preparing for my future. You can’t make it compulsory for your colleague to give you money when you are sick.
"What is the business of TAMPAN with an actor that is sick? Someone has to speak up. When your colleagues were training their children, what were you doing with your money?”
Recall that some Yoruba actors and actresses, recently begged their fans and well-meaning Nigerians for financial helps to build house, buy car, and treatment of ailments. Some of the actors and actresses who have benefitted from this act include Iya Gbonkan, Pariolodo, Lalude, and Baba Alapini.
