Nyesom Wike Governor of Adamawa State, Ahamadu Umaru Fintiri has sent a congratulatory message to the immediate former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike over his appointment as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Nyesom Wike, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), was appointed Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after he had worked for Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election.
Nyesom Wike who stood against Atiku Abubakar's presidential candidacy of the PDP, worked publicly for APC after he condemned Atiku Abubakar for betraying tradition of power rotation within North and Southern sections of the country.
Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State where Atiku Abubakar hails from, has however described Wike's ministerial appointment as a deserved one. He insisted that his trust in Wike's capacity to deliver has already been proven baby his performance in Rivers State.
Umaru Fintiri's congratulatory message to Wike reads:
"Congratulations on your Senate screening and appointment as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
"Your Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike you have set precedence and demonstrated exemplary leadership traits by delivering service and good governance according to the people’s needs during your tenure as Governor of Rivers State which I believe earned you this position.
"I trust that you will continue to work for improved growth and development of the FCT just like you did in Rivers State as Governor.
"I am confident that your influence will continue to encourage our proud tradition of hard work and dedication to the country as well as involvement in worthwhile political causes.
"My brother and friend once more congratulations on your appointment. I know you have worked hard to reach this point, and I'm so happy that you have been recognized for your accomplishment with this new assignment. It is well-deserved.
Till now, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has not said anything related to the appointment of Nyesom Wike as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
