High Chief Osondu Nwoye
A successful Nigerian billionaire based in Ivory Coast, High Chief Osondu Nwoye, lost his life watching Nigeria's Super Eagles semi-final match against the Bafana-Bafana of South Africa, yesterday, Wednesday, February 7th, 2024.

The Anambra-born business mogul, High Chief Osondu, was said to have been on top of support for the Super Eagles, live and direct at the stadium watching the semi-final match with passion for Nigeria's victory but a decision by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) cut his life short.

Eyewitness account revealed that "High Chief Osondu Nwoye was the richest Igbo businessman based in Ivory Coast before yesterday, but what the late Anambra-born billionaire did not see coming Is watching his darling Super Eagles play yesterday in Ivory Coast, where he lives and runs his flourishing business, going to ultimately cost him his life?

Our source claimed that High Chief Osondo traveled to Bourke, the city that hosted the Super Eagles match yesterday, to watch the Super Eagles match against South Africa.

He was said to be on top of the moon, shouting at the top of his voice, when Victor Osimhen scored that second goal, which was later canceled by VAR.

"Maybe the shock of seeing the goal canceled and penalty awarded to South Africa was too much to bear for his fragile heart, which failed immediately, which resulted in the High Chief collapsing inside the stadium," the source stated.

High Chief Osondu was confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital he was rushed for medical treatment in an attempt to revive his life.

In a related development, a former member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and current chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, also lost his life during the VAR decision.
