Herbert Wigwe Last weekend, Nigeria lost one of its industrious sons, Herbert Wigwe, to a helicopter crash in the United States of America.
Wigwe, until his death was the Group Chief Executive Officer GCEO of Access Holdings PLC, and he died in the helicopter crash along with his wife and only son, and a friend.
Wigwe's lifeless body is said to have arrived at the Los Angeles Airport and will be flown to Nigeria for burial.
However, Nigerian investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has hinted that Wigwe's death may not have been natural and that there of proximity of him being eliminated by disgruntled allies.
She suggested serious conspiracy among some business executives in Nigeria and called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) to wage an investigation into the cause of Wigwe's death.
She suggested interest in the interrogation of Goodwin Emefiele, the embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as she sighted one possibly played into the hand of hand.
Highlighting how Wigwe might have been killed by his allies, she said: "Many of Herbert Igwe’s CLOSE friends all backstabbed him. They are now rushing to console his parents. Igwe could do no wrong. If you need 100M to build a mall and your bank only approves 65M, Herbert will approve the entire 100M loan.
"Emefiele should be investigated. There's a lot Igwe knew about Godwin and this investigation with the EFCC and DSS.
"The man was getting ready to expand Access Bank to Asia. Sit your punkasses down suffering in Nigeria calling it a conspiracy theory. There is no such thing as conspiracy in Nigeria. They eliminate you in any part of the world and make it look like an accident.
"Go ask Nnamdi Kanu how they nabbed him in Kenya. This is why you shouldn’t tell anyone about your travel plans. Practicing investigative journalists will not dare touch this case.
