Processed Hides for Local Consumption The sales of hides and skin in some Kano local markets are now increasing where girls from some parts of the state are doing brisk business daily which resulted in the economic progress in Malikawa Town in Bichi Local Government Area of the state.
Our correspondent, Jabiru Hassan, who visited some local markets where the sales of hides and skins are becoming more economical, gathered that there is good progress in the sales of Hide and Skin because of what is being seen every market day.
Furthermore, most of the sellers who chatted with our correspondent disclosed that the hides and skin business is an important occupation that changed their livelihood from being unemployed to being economically viable.
"We are happy to announce that our business is very much progressive and from what we are witnessing, the sales of hides and skins business have changed the lives of so many people economically and provided more employment opportunities with optimum results," Said Malama Khadijah, one of the girls who ventured into the hide and skin business.
In conclusion, the hide and skin sales at Badume, Dan Zabuwa, Shuwaki, Bichi, and other local markets are increasing while some of the commodity dealers often export their products to some neighboring states for sales.
