A Nigerian guy, Akpan Friday Mbuotidem, has taken celebration of his graduation from the University of Abuja to social platforms considering the odds he went through before actualizing his academic career.
Akpan, who later graduated among thousands of others from the University of Abuja, had been previously faced with academic failure that could have put a halt to his ambition to become a University graduate.
Akpan wrote the entrance examination into the Nigerian higher institutions, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the 2014, 2015, and 2016 admissions seasons. For all three trials, Akpan applied to study at the University of Abuja and got all three biddings turned down.
In 2017, he opted for the Remedial program of the same University of Abuja, got admitted, and eventually passed the entrance examination to proceed with his Bachelor's degree with the institution.
Akpan who was admitted to study Microbiology at the University of Abuja is among 41 students of the institution who graduated with First Class honors after going through four years of study in the school.
