Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Siminalayi Fubara Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has confirmed meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the presidential villa, Aso Rock in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
Although Governor Fubara refused to give details of his meeting with President Tinubu, he confirmed he had a "private meeting" with the president.
Fubara, who has been battling with his erstwhile political godfather, Nyesom Wike, arrived at the presidential villa with no entourage and the usual assembly of loyalists who followed him to the Villa in the recent meeting with the president. He arrived at the villa around 5:35 pm for the meeting.
When statehouse press officials approached him to give insights of his meeting with the President, Governor Fubara played along all attempts and insisted “It was a private visit,” with no hint of the agenda of the meeting, yet, in the public domain.
Governor Fubara and his erstwhile political godfather, Nyesom Wike, have been complying with the resolutions reached out to them by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his attempt to resolve the crisis bedeviling the political space in Rivers State.
This is the first time Governor Fubara will be holding meeting with President Tinubu in the absence of his erstwhile political godfather, Nyesom Wike.
