Amidst the worsening economic hardship on common Nigerians, the government at all levels is leaving no stone unturned, deploying various strategies to alleviate the levels of the hardships on the citizens.
Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently met with the 36 State Governors and he directed them to do everything possible within their executive power to ensure the economic hardships are minimized among the citizens.
Possibly, in action towards the dire Tive given by the President, the Nasarawa State First Lady, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A. Sule, allegedly suddenly turned to rice seller to alleviate the extremism of the economic hardship on the residents of the state.
Her Excellency, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A Sule, was allegedly sighted at Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, today, Monday, February 19, selling Rice and Beans to the residents of the Local Government Area at a highly subsidized rate.
Our source revealed that Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi A. Sule sold a Mudu of Rice for N500, and a Mudu of Beans went for N400 only.
Although it was unknown if the program limited to the number of Mudu a resident could purchase, a source, though not too sure, suggested that the program would be extended to other local government areas in the state as the First Lady believed the initiative would go a long way in alleviating the economic hardships biting Nigerians.
Recall that recently, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule shared N7,000 among about 6,000 residents of the state in the name of palliatives to cushion the effects of the economic hardships on the residents.
