President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Two weeks before the inauguration of the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Federal Government of Nigeria commenced activities to make the day a memorable one. Among the laid down event is the live coverage of the inauguration by any accredited media house across the world.
Live coverage of the presidential inauguration which comes up on May 29th will be opened, not only to the local media house but, and also to interested foreign media platforms.
However, there are laid down criteria for any foreign media platform that may want to participate in what is expected to be a historic presidential inauguration in the history of Nigeria.
According to the Federal Government of Nigeria, foreign journalists wishing to cover the inauguration of the President-elect and the Vice-President are required to submit the following documents to: accreditation@fmic.gov.ng
1) Data Page of International Passport (PDF Format)
2) Letter of Introduction from your organization addressed to:
The Honourable Minister of Information and Culture,
Radio House, Area 10,
Garki, Abuja
3) Filming equipment list (where applicable)
4) Purpose of Visit
5) Itinerary while in Nigeria
Unfortunately, no deadline has yet been attached to the submission of the demanded credentials of the intending journalists
