FG Palliative Rice to Kwara State The Federal Government of Nigeria has gifted the indigent people in Kwara State with 19,200 bags of rice. The rice was distributed across Kwara State at the rate of 1,200 bags per Local Government Area.
Confirming the delivery of the rice across the 16 local government areas in the state, the Kwara State government stated that it will work with traditional institutions, community-based groups, and other stakeholders in the state to see the morality for the final sharing of the food among the people in needs without political party affiliation.
Recall President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his recent nationwide broadcast, promised to share tons of grain among citizens to cushion the effect of oil subsidy removal which has, in turn, inflated the prices of items in the markets.
"The 16 LG Chairmen in Kwara State have taken delivery of 1,200 bags of rice of the Federal Government for onward distribution to the less privileged across the state to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal," Kwara State Government affirmed.
Note that, Kwara State Government had also rolled out several palliatives to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy, including the ongoing e-process to give stipends to students of Kwara State origin.
