The Executive Chairman of Geregu Power PLC, Femi Otedola has dashed out a sum of N750,000,000 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira only) to the students of Augustine University, Ilara in Epe, Lagos State.
Otedola who was elated by the dignitary bestowed on him by the management of the institution who appointed him as the Chancellor of the school decided to impact the lives of the students.
Otedola, on his installation as the Chancellor of Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos gifted N1,000,000 (One million naira only) to each of the 750 graduating students from the university. Otedola stated the cash gift to the graduating students emanated from his "belief in transforming establishments that he is associated with." He believes that the money will help the parents of the students in this difficult time.
"Today, I was inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University. I strongly believe in transforming establishments that I am associated with. I gave a gift of One Million to each of the Seven Hundred and Fifty Students. I hope this donation of Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time," Mr. Femi Otedola stated immediately after he approved the N750 million cash gifts to the graduating students of Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State.
Augustine University is a private Catholic-owned tertiary institution located in Ilara, a town in Epe, Lagos State. It held its 5th Convocation ceremony today, October 26th, 2023.
