EPL: Man City star Rodri to miss rest of season after ACL injury

In a major setback to Manchester City’s campaign, star midfielder Rodri has been ruled out for the rest of the season following a severe knee injury sustained during Sunday’s match against Arsenal.

According to reports from ESPN UK, Rodri tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the game.

The seriousness of the injury was confirmed after medical examinations conducted on Monday morning.

“Manchester City midfielder Rodri will miss the remainder of the season after tests this morning confirmed he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his right knee during Sunday’s draw with Arsenal,” a source told ESPN.

The Spanish international has been a key player in Pep Guardiola’s squad, and his absence will undoubtedly be felt as the team continues to compete in various competitions.

The injury comes at a critical point in the season, potentially affecting City’s hopes in domestic and European contests.
