EPL: Bad decisions - Guardiola on why Man City drew with Newcastle - The Round Table Nigeria Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has revealed his players made “bad decisions” in their 1-1 draw at Newcastle United in Saturday’s early kick-off.
The Premier League champions took the lead in the first half through Josko Gvardiol.
However, the Magpies were awarded a controversial penalty, with Nick Pope producing an excellent stop to oppose City a late winner.
Guardiola announced to TNT Sports: “They had moments in the first ten minutes and after their goal, but in general we played really good.
“We made bad decisions at the terminal minute to make it 2-0. It is always knotty here with their physicality and they exculpate so deep. We had chances but [Nick] Pope was brilliant so we take the point.
“When we scored we played better. We make a delusion and after that they play better. But then we take the game again and had chances to gain it.”
