Former Kaduna State Governor and one of the three ministerial nominees sent to the National Assembly by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu but failed to be confirmed by the lawmakers, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has spoken for the first time since his ministerial nomination failed which has generated issues among his followers and other citizens.

Mallam El-Rufai shared a lyric to one of the songs of the late world reggae star, Bob Marley titled "Who The Cap Fit". The lyric speaks to a suspension that Mallam El-Rufai was betrayed by considerably, a close ally in the recent political bonds.

Parts of the lyrics shared by Mallam El-Rufai are:

"Some will hate you, pretend they love you now;
Then behind they try to eliminate you
But who Jah bless, no one curse;
Thank God, we're past the worse;
Hypocrites and parasites (hypocrites and parasites).

The messages contained in the lyrics showed that Mallam El-Rufai had suffered political betrayal. Recall that when his ministerial nomination failed, there were speculations that the incumbent Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani who he helped to power, wrote a petition against Mallam El-Rufai's ministerial nomination. Another speculation had it that former Senate President, Ahmed Lawal had teamed with Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and National Security Adviser to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu Ti plot against the ministerial nomination of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

The complete lyrics of the song shared by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai reads:

VIDEO - Bob Marley of blessed memory is one of most talented musicians of all time. My love for reggae music is connected with his songs and music.

Who The Cap Fit - Bob Marley & The Wailers is one of my favorites from the 1970s. Enjoy your Sunday with the song and lyrics that are timeless. - @elrufai

Man to man is so unjust, children
Ya don't know who to trust
Your worst enemy could be your best friend
And your best friend, your worse enemy
Some will eat and drink with you
(Some will eat and drink with you)
Then behind them su-su 'pon you
Then behind them su-su 'pon you)
Only your friend know your secrets
So only he could reveal it
And who the cap fit, let them wear it!
Who the cap fit, let them wear it!

Said I throw me corn (throw me corn)
Me no call no foul (me no call no foul)
I saying, "Cook-cook-cook" (cook-cook-cook)
"Cluk-cluk-cluk" (cluck-cluck-cluck) yeah
Some will hate you, pretend they love you now
Then behind they try to eliminate you
But who Jah bless, no one curse
Thank God, we're past the worse
Hypocrites and parasites (hypocrites and parasites)
Will come up and take a bite (will come up and take a bite)
And if your night should turn to day
A lot of people would run away
And who the cap fit let them wear it!
Who the cap fit let them wear it!

And then a-gonna throw me corn (throw me corn)
And then a-gonna call no fowl (call no fowl)
And then a-gonna "Cook-cook-cook" (cook-cook-cook) yeah
"Cluck-cluck-cluck" (cluck-cluck-cluck)
Some will eat and drink with you
(Some will eat and drink with you)
Then behind them su-su 'pon you, yeah!
(Then behind them su-su 'pon you)
And if night should turn to day, now
A lot of people would run away, yeah!
And who the cap fit, let them wear it!
Who the cap fit, let them wear it!

Throw me corn (throw me corn)
Me no call no faul (me no call no foul)
A-beggin', "Cook-cook-cook" (cook-cook-cook)
"Cluck-cluck-cluck" (cluck-cluck-cluck)
A-bah-bah, "Cook-cook-cook" (cook-cook-cook)
"Cluck-cluck-cluck"
