Nigeria's Super Eagles shot-stopper, Stanley Nwabali, has received threatening messages from some South African fans, never to attempt coming back to resume at the club where he plays in South Africa.
Nwabali, who plays for Chippa United in South Africa, has displayed a fantastic performance for his home country's national team, Super Eagles at the ongoing Cote D'Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Nwabali denied South Africa a chance of securing a spot in the final of the Cote D'Ivoire 2023 AFCON after stopping penalty kicks played by two of the South African penalty shooters at the penalty shootouts stage of the match.
Besides, Nwabali had stayed on top of the match between Nigeria's Super Eagles and South African Bafana-Bafana through the 120 minutes of playtime.
Nwabali had taken to his social media account to react, indirectly, to the threat where he said he still South Africa as much as the South African supporters love him.
He said "This is a game I’m born to play. A night to remember!!! I felt every bit of it!!! Brick by brick and dreams are coming true. No love lost at all. I still love South Africa as much as their fans loves me and I love this team 🇳🇬 with all my heart,🙏🏽🧤.
