Dangote Names Street Leading to His Refinery After Wigwe

Nigerian moneybag, Aliko Dangote, has nailed the road leading to his Dangote Oil Refinery after the late Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) of the Access Holdings PLC, Herbert Wigwe.

The decision was taken by Dangote to immortalize Wigwe who died recently in the United States of America.

The group CEO of Access Bank, Dr Herbert Wigwe died in a helicopter crash in the United States on the 9th of February alongside his wife Doreen Wigwe, his Son Chizi Wigwe, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former group chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc.

Dangote made this announcement on Monday, March 4th, during a special event held at Eko Hotel, Lagos, titled "Celebrating Herbert Wigwe – A Professional Legacy," in honor of the late Bank Executive.

The businessman and philanthropist said, “To immortalize my beloved friend, my brother, and my mentee, I have decided to name a major refinery and petrochemical road, out of the 120 kilometers, the biggest road will now be named ‘Herbert Wigwe.”
